What a hair mess! So sick of dandruff!

Hello to all! My name is Gretchen and for the longest time I have had great trouble with my hair and the dandruff which ensues. I have dark brown hair, which generally runs curly and reaches my lower neck or upper shoulders. One of my hair cair specialists has recently recommended that I try Head and Shoulders Shampoo. However, my father recently tried this and was quite disappointed with the effects of the shampoo.
In addition, I usually try to keep my hair in top notch quality. I only buy the highest quality shampoos and conditioners. Moreover, I am worried that Head and Shoulders will not meet my needs as a woman who cares very very much about the way her hair looks. Most reviews I have ran into on the web seem biased or unfufilling when it comes to impartial advice. What should I do? I have sufferred from dandruff for way to long! I care about my hair, and I never want to experience embarrasment or worry about wearing a black top ever again.
