Waitress feet

by Paula
(Detroit, MI USA)

I am a server and on my feet a lot! I wear the kind of shoes you need to a slippery kitchen floor but I fear they are destroying my feet! I have rough calloused spots on my big toes and the side of my heels.

I've replaced the shoes several times as they wear out but the calloused spots stay the same. I have tried different socks of different materials and thicknesses. I have tried inserts. I have tried wearing wider shoes.

I have tried many, many lotions and oils. Pretty much anything I can think of I've tried but nothing seems to make ANY difference!

My question is two parts. 1) Is there anything I can do while I am wearing the shoes to minimize the roughness and forming calluses? 2) What can I do about the calluses once the shoes are off so that I feet comfortable wearing sandals in the summer?

I prefer something of a more natural nature for a remedy as I do not like heavy chemicals.

I am willing to try just about anything as my feet are my very important to my work and I really love wearing sandals on my off times.

Thank you for any suggestions you can give me.

Softening Calluses
by: Zac

Paula,
I know exactly how you feel. For exercise I do home improvement on mine and my families property.
When I can get out of the office that is :)

Anyway, I get real bad calluses on my knees and toes from doing that kind of work. We originally developed our therapeutic zinc and tea tree lotion to clear up my dermatitis and other skin issues.

But since we have found so many other uses for it, I started using it on my calluses a couple of years ago.

My wife couldn't believe it. I have dry skin to boot, so my knees for example would get really callused and dry to the point of having cracks in the skin.

With just an application or two they were like new again.

As for my feet, the really thick and hard calluses became softer and I could remove the outlayers of them real easy a day or two after using this lotion.

You see the combination of the anti-inflammatories and the punitive penetrating properties of the zinc and tea tree really works well for calluses.

Give it a try, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. By the way, numerous clients of ours who wear our toe brace for example also get the therapeutic lotion. I've had tons of them tell me it is the greatest lotion they have ever used. And this is people with severe foot problems.

It's on our featured products page right at the top.

Best wishes,
Zac
