tips for long hair

by Kim
(Portland, OR, US)

I've worked in some type of salon or spa for the past 4 years so i 've learned quite a bit about hair care. One good tip for long hair is to only condition the ends of your hair and not to condition it everyday.

Conditioner has a lot of protein in it and if you use it everyday you can cause a buildup in your hair. Also conditioning the ends of your hair keeps it from getting too oily.

Your skin makes oil so the roots of your hair are already oily and adding conditioner onto it will make your hair look greasy, oily, heavy and flat - especially if you have long hair.
