Things that grow on your face as you get older.

I'm sure there have to be a lot of older people who like me (at age 56) am finding skin tags, warts, and other unsightly things popping up on my face. I've taken good care of my skin all the years. I've used moisturizing lotions on my face continually since I was 22. I am an indoor person, and I've never been exposed to much sun. I have very clear complexion and few wrinkles.
As I see the beginnings of bumps on my face, I remember my great grandmother who died back when I was 16. I still remember the large moles and things that had grown on her face as she aged. As a kid I thought they were disgusting, and now I'm worried that they're just another one of those horrible inherited traits that I have gotten from her.
I would like to understand what the different bumps are and hear about what I can do to either get rid of them or cover them effectively. Am I doing something wrong which causes this? Or do I need to resign myself to having my facial skin look like hers when I’m in my 80s? I know I can’t be alone in my concerns.
