Tangles? Don't Tug!

by Aimee Valle
(Ohio)

Wide Tooth Comb

Wide Tooth Comb

As anyone with long hair knows, tangles can be painful and difficult to remove. Before discovering my current removal method, I would get so frustrated I wanted to shave my head.

The solution is very simple. After applying and rinsing the shampoo out, you must apply your conditioner. The key is to tackle the tangles before rinsing it out.

Wet hair can be more breakable so you must be careful, but this is the best method I've come up with to ensure smooth tangle free hair.

With your head full of conditioner, turn off the water. Take a wide-tooth comb and begin working from the ends up toward the roots gently combing out your tangles.

The slickness of the conditioner with help ease the tangles out without pain and damage, plus the extra time with the conditioner on the hair will help to soften it.
