Sensitive guy needs some help

Shaving is something most men do every day. As a result, it is important to find a system that not only eliminates facial hair, but also does so without irritating the skin around the face and neck.

After all, the last thing a man wants is to suffer from burning, itching skin, both during the shaving process and, even worse, throughout the rest of the day.

I have always had particularly sensitive skin around the face and neck. Ever since I began shaving, this has been something I have had to deal with. Sometimes it feels like I have tried every possible solution to ease the discomfort, but without success.

First of all, I have tried every kind of razor imaginable; the kind with interchangeable blades and disposables, single blade to multi-blade models, even the kind with special lubricating strips that contain aloe. I also change razors or blades frequently, to ensure that the one I am using is always sharp. None of this seems to help.

Secondly, I have tried almost every type of shaving cream, gel, or lotion on the market. I find gels help reduce some of the irritation I get while shaving, but they do not eliminate it.

Some creams and gels are marketed as being specially designed for sensitive skin. I have tried these too, and have not noticed any significant difference over the standard versions.

I have just about given up hope, but there is one last thing I think I should try. A few of my friends absolutely swear by electric razors. I always assumed these would be worse for sensitive skin than shaving with a blade, but they tell me just the opposite.

Are there any electric razor users out there? Do you agree with my friend's recommendation?
