scalp acne with chemo

i have scalp acne and i think it is associated with my chemotherapy and hair loss. is this normal for the treatment and what can i do to help? thanks.

Answer:

Yes, it is very common to develop scalp conditions during chemo and particularly during the hair loss and regrowth period.

It is basically a form of scalp dermatitis.

Zinc pyrithione is FDA approved for dermatitis treatment and is why we formulate it into our zinc and tea tree lotion.

During hair loss our zinc lotion can be used on your scalp as well as any dermatitis that develops on your skin.

After regrowth starts, we also have a zinc and tea tree hair gel which will keep your scalp clear, and less irritated.

Both are available on our Featured skin and scalp treatment products

Very affordable and low flat rate shipping.

Best wishes for your chemo treatment, and clearing up your scalp.
