Quit Minoxydil?

by Samuel
(Birmingham, AL)

About twenty years ago, I started using Minoxydil. Thankfully it has gotten cheaper over the years. With the generic version bought in a multi-pack, I only spend about eight dollars a month.

I have had average results with the product. I know some people use it and it doesn't work at all. Others use it and have fantastic results, seeing all their hair regrow.

I have seen some fine hair regrow on the crown of my head. More importantly, I guess, I have not lost any more hair over the last twenty years. So I wonder if I should keep on using it for the rest of my life.

I am about 50 years old. I started losing my hair on the crown of my head in my early twenties. I hesitated buying the original product Rogain when it first came out both because it was so expensive and because it was hard to believe that it worked.

But, then the price came down and I tried it. After about three months, my barber told me she saw new fine hair growing on the crown of my head. And I hadn't told her I was using it. So I was hooked.

Like I said, it never grew any more than that. But I haven't lost any more hair. I guess I haven't lost any more hair because I'm using minoxydil. But I could only be maintaining the hair I have because I have lost all I am ever going to lose.

But at eight dollars a month, I'm not about to risk my hair falling out and starting a hair loss that I can't get back. So I keep on using it month after month. I guess I should be thankful for the hair I have regrown and that I haven't lost any more all these years.

Samuel,

Your not the first to comment here with positive results using Rogaine type regowth products.

I would suggest trying a good tea tree oil shampoo as well to aid in the regrowth process.
It will keep your PH levels restored, and hair follicles and scalp clear and healthy.

This could only help your regrowth.

We have an excellent one here:

Tea Tree Oil Products

Best wishes,
Zac
