Painful scalp after chemo

by Nydia Samy
(Seychelles)

Is it normal to have painful scalp now after about eight months of my last chemo?

Answer:

Yes, it is not uncommon to have sensitive and even painful scalp after chemo. Eight months seems a little long however.

You didn't give me many details, is your scalp itchy or have sore spots? Scalp dermatitis is not uncommon to develop after chemo.

Skin related problems are also no unusual.

We have FlakeFree zinc and tea tree hair gel and lotion which is formulated just for these problems.

They are on our featured products page for more details.

Best wishes,
Zac
