Nothing is helping my Scalp Eczema

by Christy
(Louisville, Kentucky United States)

Hello:
I am 53 years old, female with type I diabetes for 31 years and have had scalp eczema for about 14 yrs. The dermatologist can do nothing to help me as I have been many times. I am now losing my hair to this horrible condition. I wash my hair in tea tree oil with selenium added and I am still having dry/oily itchy build up on the scalp. I even have sores and lumps that are very painful. I feel as though I have a plastic tight cap on my head. My hair is so thin. I am taking many vitamins to help my physical condition as well as for my hair and scalp. I am taking no prescription medications to make my hair fall out. I suspect it is a combination of diabetes, thyroid disease and scalp eczema. I have recently ordered some coal tar, but it is back ordered. I do not use hair gel or hair spray, therefore, I do not know why I would want to order that. Is the lotion for the scalp or the body? I am so miserable with this condition I don't know what to do. Every one says there is no cure, but that their product works. I don't know what to do at this point. I cannot waste money on things that do not help as I am disabled from illness.

Christy,

I feel for you as we also supply products to those with alopecia, (total hair loss), and have been in this business nearly fifty years. So you can imagine some of the personal stories we have heard.

I understand your reluctance to use a hair gel since your hair is so thin. The reason it is effective more than therapeutic shampoos is because it is in constant contact.

The zinc pyrithione combined with tea tree and peppermint oils along with numerous other beneficial herbs makes it extremely effective.

The isn't any reason you couldn't use the lotion to treat your scalp.

I would recommend using it as a pre-shampoo conditioner. Maybe an hour or so before you shampoo your hair. (tea tree shampoo would be my recommendation.)

Since you are in dire straights I will send you a complimentary bottle of lotion for you to try.

Just use our contact us form and let me know where to ship it.

I think it will help you out.

Best wishes,
Zac
