Need serious hair help

a friend bleached my hair through a tipping cap. I have very fine dark long hair. We left it in for 20 minutes and it went WHITE, when we took off the cap half of my hair was still in there. She put a colour over the top (which looks like shit) but I am more concerned that it is still falling out in clumps to about 1 inch from my scalp. We have put a treatment through and I have left it on. Will it keep doing this and how can I help save whats left?????????
