My 18 yr old grandson has Acute eczema on skin and scalp

by Melody Ashcraft
(Lansing, Illinois)

My grandson has acute eczema on many areas of his body and also his scalp. No medical Insurance, so I'm trying to find him some OTC remedies.

I was told that certain vitamins and oils/creames can help alleviate the itch and the frustration. I just don't know which ones to use. Can anyone help me out with some suggestions?

Answer

Melody,

We have a zinc and tea tree lotion as well as a zinc and tea tree hair gel specifically formulated to clear up eczema.

I personally use both of them on mine. The hair gel is so much more effective treating eczema than therapeutic shampoos because the active ingredients are in continual contact with the scalp.

Have him apply the lotion on his skin once or twice a day until symptoms disappear, and then at the slightest sign of an out break have him use it for a couple of days.

For his scalp eczema, after shampooing, have him work the hair gel into the scalp with his finger tips. Then style as usual with a normal styling gel.

If he doesn't want the hold, he can just run a comb or brush through his hair after it sets.

It will clear us his eczema in a couple of days.

A low cost, green eco friendly, healthy natural way to deal with eczema is to make a homemade liquid from soapberry which grows on the Chinaberry tree and has been used for thousands of years. It works very effectively.
