Long Hair with Dry Ends

by Nichole Benny

Hi I was wondering what to do about my long hair that is really oily at the roots and really dry at the ends. I have to use a heavy conditioner because of my dry ends and I have tryed only using the conditioner on my ends because of my oily roots and it's not working. Do I have some kind of hair imbalance?

Hi!

I think Zac is right. if you have curly hair like I do I would recommend you to try the Bio Natural shampoo and conditioner from batiaandaleeza.com; at least it worked with me ;)

hope it helps, bye

Dry Long Hair

Nichole,

You need to use a professional quality re-conditioner to get your hair back to normal.

You are doing the right thing by using conditioner towards the ends of your hair, it's just you aren't using the right conditioner.

You'll have to pay a little more for a quality conditioner, but it will be worth it.

On our main long hair forum page are links to Beauty.com. Simply click on one of the banners and then go to their hair care page and click on conditioners.

You will find tons of great conditioners which have been rated by other customers. Check several of them out (the highest rated ones) and be sure to check customers comments.

The real good ones go for about 25-30 dollars, but they last so much longer since you don't have to use as much. Plus they work!

For your oily roots, you need to use a shampoo that restores proper PH levels. I would suggest using a good tea tree oil shampoo.

Don't let the oil in tea tree confuse you, it will not make your hair oily. It is an essential oil, and in fact reduces build up and restores PH levels.

Hope that helps, and come back and visit anytime.

Best wishes,
Zac
