HELP ME SOLVE MY SCALP PROBLEM

I am a 25 years old African, i lived 6 years in the UK and i am currently in France. About 3-4 years ago I was very experimental with my hair but never colored it. I braided, had weaves put in and so on. And then my hair began to break so I cut it a little and afterwards colored it black with a products from Bigen. Afterwards, my hair began to break and fall off especially at the crown of my head.My scalp hurt, itched and had sores, I could not relax my hair or do anything and then I cut it completely in January 2008.
Now I am trying to grow my hair and it hurts,itches the growth is very slow and I still have sores at the crown with a pattern of very scanty hair running through the middle of my head. I use Dr Miracles tingling shampoo at the moment and Dark and lovely Moisturising oil. Please I need your candid opinion? What can I do?
