Hammer Toe Deformity of all toes at birth

My Dad has the hammertoe deformity on both feet on all toes. He has suffered his whole life with this condition. In the 1960's, he had a surgery but it did not help but made his feet even worse.

I was wondering if there is something that can be done to relieve some of the misery now? He has a very hard time walking.
