Hairline Trouble

The corners of my hairline (forehead section) is a little bit messed up.Its not totally bad,because you cant really see it unless your taller than me.Its been like this for about 2 years now and i have seen little progress.There is a tiny little bit of hair there but it's not on the same level as the rest of my head.I think the slow progress has been due tot he fact that i constantly cut my hair.Do you have any tips for me to growing that section of the hair back?

PS: I am planning on growing an afro and that part of my hair is really messing things up.
