Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow.

Hair loss is a condition that afflicts many men, to varying degrees. For some, loss of hair results in feelings of inadequacy and a lack of confidence.

Such men are likely to investigate hair replacement systems, such as custom hairpieces or even transplants.

For other men, hair loss is nothing more than a nuisance. These men would never consider elaborate hair replacement schemes and are content to simply play the cards they've been dealt.

I place myself squarely in the latter category. I began losing my hair at age 25, and ten years later, there's really not a whole lot left. Though I'm not terribly perturbed by the balding process, I still like to look my best.

For me, that means keeping my remaining hair neatly groomed. When I had a full head of hair, I combed it in a straight back style. As my hair began to thin on top, I kept it shorter and began to comb it forward. As it got thinner still, I cropped it even shorter in a crew cut.

Now my hair is so thin on top, that I simply shave it all with the shortest attachment on my electric hair clipper. I've been doing this for a while and frankly, have tired of it.

Do I have any style options left? I suppose I could go even shorter and start shaving my head with a razor, but that seems like too much maintenance and I'm not sure the look is really for me.

Does anyone have any creative solutions?

Hair Loss Styles
by: Zac

Hi there,

Well, you could try Ron Popeil's hair paint.
Just kidding of course!

Without seeing your hair it is kind of hard to get too specific. But I do have a couple of suggestions.

First, if you want to let it grow out a bit, I would suggest using a therapeutic styling gel to maintain healthy scalp, and prevent further hair loss.

I use FlakeFree therapeutic styling gel with zinc and tea tree oil which has actually been shown to promote regrowth.

Plus it keeps my dandruff controlled, and adds life and luster to my hair.

I definitely would not recommend normal styling products as they can have adverse effects on your hair and scalp.

Using FlakeFree would enable you to let it grow, and maybe spike it up a bit for a contemporary look.

Also, use a good tea tree oil shampoo. It will help you maintain healthy hair and scalp too.

As with all shampoos and conditioners, you definitely want to rinse them off well.

Here is a link to our tea tree oil products.

Best wishes,
Zac
