flaky skin on face - T - line

Hi, for years now the skin on my brows, forehead and nose area gets flaky, I asked a dermatologist what it is and she said its kinda like dandruff on my face ... and when the dandruff on my scalp is worse so is my face.

She recommended applying hydrocortisone - I'm not sure which hydrocortisone she was referring to. I tried the ointment and it didn’t work. The only thing that gets rid of it - is if I scrub my face with a washcloth in the shower - but it always comes back.

Also I have noticeable pores around this area - could any of this be related? how do I get rid of this?

Answer:

I used to have exactly what you are talking about.
My forehead and along both sides of my nose on my upper cheeks used to get really flaky.

The same thing too with what I thought was dandruff. When it would get really bad, the flakes on my face got worse too.

What I found out it really was, was dermatitis.
I started using FlakeFree therapeutic hair gel for my scalp, and FlakeFree therapeutic zinc lotion for the skin on my face.

It cleared it up in a couple of days. Now when I notice the first sign of flakes, I use the lotion and gel and it takes care of it.

The hair gel works so much better than shampoo since the zinc and tea tree oil along with herbal ingredients are in continual contact with my scalp.

Same thing for the lotion. By the way, it also works excellent for common dandruff and eczema too.
