Fix my hammer toe

My name is Bill and I have a hammer toe on the second toe of my right foot. I have seen a podiatrist and he had me put special supports (orthodic)in my shoes. It has been three years and the problem continues.

I have had surgury three times prior and would prefer to avoid using the knife to solve the issure. It continues to get worse and has become very difficult to walk. What can I do.
