Dry Scaly Patches on Aging Scalp

I have been told that these dry patches comes with aging skin. My scalp has a few places that itch and are dry and scaly. I have tried oils to relieve the dryness but nothing so far has helped. Can anyone tell me if there is anything that can help the kerotosis type patches on my aging scalp?
