Baldness Prevention

by TJ
(USA)

There are many rumors and misconceptions surrounding the issue of baldness. Some say that baldness is inherited through the genes of the mother, while others argue that if your dad's dad is bald, you will be too.

What is the best website to help determine the truth? Any information that can be proven accurate would be helpful.

Also, are there any products available to help prevent baldness in those who may be "at risk?"

If these products could be applied as easily as shampoo it would certainly be worth using them. Any information on this information would be greatly appreciated. .

Preventing Baldness
by: Zac

TJ,

Preventing baldness, or hair loss is a subject most of us are interested in. Usually as we get older, but beginning prevention measures as early as possible is the best course of action.

Choosing a Shampoo

This is extremely important. Many shampoos are actually counter productive to good hair care.
You need to use a shampoo that restores proper PH levels to your hair follicles and scalp in general.

I highly recommend using a tea tree oil shampoo for several reasons. First, tea tree has penetrating qualities to keep your scalp pores open and healthy.

Tea Tree has also actually been shown in some studies to aid in hair regrowth! If it has been shown to aid in regrowth, what better method to use for prevention could there be?

Now, with all shampoos and conditioners you definitely want to rinse them off well. Pay special attention to rinse clear down to the scalp. Using your fingertips to aid the water distribution works well.

Avoid Tight Hats

It is kind of ironic that many men start wearing hats when hair loss begins to be noticable. This can actually compound the problem.

If you are wearing a tight fitting hat, you can actually be pulling against your hair and promote baldness.

Maintain Healthy Scalp

This is as important as choosing a good shampoo, but you need to take this one step further. Whether you have dry scalp, dandruff, or just an occasional itch, you really need to keep your scalp healthy to maintain healthy hair.

Do not use ordinary styling products. Most will clog up your scalp and do not rinse off well when shampooing.

I have personally developed our FlakeFree styling products to maintain healthy scalp. They are also effective relief for dandruff, dry scalp, scalp eczema and dermatitis.

Yup, you guessed it, I formulated them with Tea Tree Oil. Plus we added zinc and numerous beneficial herbal ingredients for healthy hair and scalp.

I used to have terrible dandruff and scalp dermatitis before I started using FlakeFree. Now my scalp is clear as a bell.

On both sides of my family the men have receding hairlines. I'm 50, and my hair is nearly as thick as it was when I was 20.

What hair loss I have had I contribute to unhealthy scalp before I started using FlakeFree about 6 years ago.
