Adult with Acne on my back

As a teenager I had to deal with the typical hormonal acne on my face. As an adult I have a problem with cyctic acne. It mainly shows up on my back and creates lumps that are a few cm to the size of a dime.
It is not attractive obviously and also can be very painful. I usually treat it with various over the counter products that rarely work. I end up having to lance and drain them myself or with the help of my husband.
What can I do to stop this embarrassing and painful adult acne problem? My husband also gets these, usually in places that sweat or in my case where my bras rub against my back and shoulders.
Is there any real cure, or am I stuck with this problem for life. One thing I have found that helps heal them quickly and stop scaring is to put Neosporen on them after they have been lanced.
