Acne related to chemotherapy?

I am currently receiving chemotherapy. As expected, after the first treatment, my hair began falling out. I shaved my head and purchased a wig. I began wearing the wig the day before my second treatment and after 3 days, my scalp broke out in pimples all over my head, including a cluster at the back of my neck at the hair line. My doctor is not familiar with this reaction to the medication and/or the wig and wants me to leave my head uncovered until it clears up. Does anyone have any experience with this?
